Crew Profiles: Tim Merrick-Captain
Tim joined Silver Seas after 8 1/2 years in the industry. He has served as deckhand, bosun, 1st officer and mate/engineer aboard various M/Y. His experiences have taken him numerous places including an Atlantic crossing, Egypt, Italy, the Indian Ocean and The Red Sea. He holds his 100 Tom Masters Licence, STCW 95', is Certified Padi Diver and also holds his MedLink Certification for both children and adults.

Beth Cathey-Chef/Chief Stewardess
Beth began her yachting career 3 years ago aboard Silver Seas and has worked for the Van Metre family/company in different capacities since then. Although originally from Nashville, she has lived in numerous places including Italy, Cape Cod, Colorado and Annapolis.Her love of cooking and travel eventually lead to her to Silver Seas from her catering background. She loves entertaining and pays special attention to table settings and creative plating.She holds her STCW 95' certification.
Dee Pearce-Stewardess
Dee is a mature US Stewardess/Cook/Deckhand who is now starting her next career in yachting. She is well spoken, educated and started her own real estate appraisal business. She also has excellent hospitality skills from being the Hostess in the 'Green Room' at the Telluride Jazz Festival 5 years in a row as well as acting as the cook for a trail-ride operator. She has experience in provisioning, setting up portable kitchens, self-taught culinary preparations and mixing cocktails. She also spent time on a 65' sailboat where she learned the basics of working lines, fenders, docking, sanding and applying simple paint. She has her STCW95, AYI 5-Day Training Course including Silver Service and is a NAUI Certified Diver.
