Owing much to her
predecessors, whether in terms of her dimensions, the
technology used or in aesthetic and practical choices,
the Oceanis 461 fits perfectly into Beneteau's "luxury
cruising" range.
Her rigging is classic and efficient: a masthead furling
genoa (drum on deck) guarantees the necessary power for
an easy passage. The semi full battened mainsail is equipped
with lazy jacks, facilitating both furling and sail reduction
when necessary. Her deck layout reflects the spirit of
comfort and efficiency that has prevailed in the Oceanis
461 from her concept: teak-capped bulkhead for elegance
and safety, electric winch half sunk into the anchor well
thereby providing the best position for raising the anchor
chain, large sunbathing area forward, uncluttered sidedecks
due to the chainplates having been moved inwards to the
coachroof... and, of course, for those who appreciate
its refinement - a teak deck option.
As for the vast cockpit, it is easily accessible via a
door in the transom, which is also equipped with deep
lockers. The wheel steering position has a full console,
to which a large cockpit table with hinged flaps is joined.
This design provides the best blend of performance, length
and accommodation for a 46-footer. Comfortably lodging
eight in four double cabins, with a spacious main saloon
and galley, this is a perfect yacht for couples or families.
The 2 front cabins can also be converted from doubles
to bunk beds.
The galley is well-equipped and well designed, and includes
a laminated work surface, stainless steel guardrail, 5.6
cubic feet GRP icebox with 12v electric fridge and freezer,
2 stainless steel sinks a pressurized hot and cold water
mixer tap and a 3 burner LPG oven and grill. |
